Husky Shootout
I think that the 2011-2012 Husky Shootout was a great tournament. Well, it was great for the Kotzebue Lady Huskies after winning Selawik in the championship game Saturday night. The tournament took place on December 29th through the 31st. Many teams from all over the region came and participated. In addition to the teams arriving, they also brought many of their fans from their community which made it a great turn out by filling up the gymnasium. Those teams included Selawik, Noorvik, Upriver (which consisted of Ambler, Kobuk and Shungnak combined), Buckland and Kiana. All of the teams did great and showed good sportsmanship. Way to go Lady Huskies!
